Bergen based artist Iben Mansfeld (They/Them), through a wide range of expressive forms depict scenes and images of societal issues, gender roles and mental health viewed through a critical lens. By inviting the viewer on an exploratory journey of immersion and discomfort, they aim to raise awareness in both the individual and society as a whole through uncompromising yet objective depictions and truths confirmed through the personal experiences of themselves and others. The intensity of trauma, injustice and broken power structures is evident in their artistic practice.
